Bristol Pilots – Online!

Bristol Pilots Online | Website

Ever since I joined the Bristol Pilots Partnership in 1999, many people have shown an interest as to what I do and what a marine pilot’s role involves. It has taken 18 years but here it is The Bristol Pilots website. The idea behind the website is to tell people not only what we do now, but to give people a background as the 520 year history of Piloting on the Bristol Channel.

The Bristol Pilots website has been developed by Sophie Wood of Buzz Web Consultancy and it has within it an excellent video made by Barry Wilkinson of BW Film. It has been designed to give information about the ships and the Bristol Channel and River Avon for people interested, some information for visiting crews who maybe are visiting the area for the first and only time and information to visiting Ship’s Captains who seek advanced passage planning information. It also has a gallery of photographs and time laps videos taken by people ashore and pilots on board the Ships.

We will keep the website up to date and provide rolling news, photos and information. We will also build on the History of the Pilots sections so to create an online reference. We will also welcome feedback and as the site develops introduce new links and features. I hope you enjoy the website.
You will find a Facebook Group and Twitter social media platforms for you to follow and join.

Thank you for showing an interest.  Bristol Pilots Website
